Griffin Guitars

Griffin offers four basic body style models, each available with either of two standard wood options.

Four Basic Models
Model A Sometimes known as the "parlor guitar." Jim Cole refers to it as the "songwriter's guitar." It is conveniently sized and voiced much larger than you would guess.	Model B Designed to maximize any pickup/mic configuration, this guitar is well suited for the finger picker but performs equally well for the flat picker.
Model C The classical guitar built after the Spanish tradition with a combination Bouchet style and original brace design, this is an instrument that has challenged some of the best in the world.	Model D This is a gracefully designed guitar with tremendous power and tonal balance. Most guitarists find it amazingly adaptable to any style. A flat pickers powerhouse and a finger pickers dream of smooth response across the tonal spectrum.

 

Wood Options
Option 1	Back and sides of very old and well-seasoned mahogany or fine quarter sawn Eastern Black Walnut. Both are superb tone woods yielding a warm rich platform reflecting the proven tone production of the high grade Sitka Spruce top.
Option 2	Back and sides of East Indian Rosewood complimented by a master grade Red Cedar or European Spruce top.
Custom	Because I live in the Adirondack foot hills, I also have an excellent supply of Adirondack Red Spruce top wood. Woods also used: Padouk, Koa, Cocobola, Bubinga.
